How department training works

  1. 1

    Send the training need

Tell us the qualification, roster size, location and preferred dates.

  2. 2

    Confirm the pathway

We review prerequisites, delivery requirements, evaluation and certification before dates are held.

  3. 3

    Review the proposal

You receive the scope, schedule, responsibilities and price in writing.

  4. 4

    Schedule and deliver

Once you approve the proposal, we hold the dates and coordinate the course with your contact.

What Northline provides

  • Instructors
  • Course materials and lesson plans
  • Course administration
  • Completion records
  • Evaluation materials where Northline is responsible for them
  • Program specific equipment where the course requires something the department would not normally carry

What your department provides

  • A training space
  • Your apparatus and equipment where the program uses it
  • A member list with prerequisites confirmed
  • A point of contact for scheduling
  • Any SOPs, SOGs or procedures you want the delivery to work around

We confirm all of it in writing before the course date.

Built around your department

Examples, scenarios, equipment and scheduling can reflect your operation. Course objectives, evaluation requirements and the applicable standard do not change.

What sets the price

Your proposal is based on:

  • Which programs you need
  • How many members
  • Where the training is delivered
  • Travel, where it applies
  • What equipment the program requires and what you already have
  • The schedule, including whether delivery is split across multiple dates

Have one or two members? Include them in the inquiry and we will confirm the available options.

Your instructors

Instructors are assigned by program and subject matter. You are told who is delivering your training before the course, not on the day.

Request department training

Send the qualification, roster size, location and preferred dates. We will follow up with a short call, then provide the scope, schedule, responsibilities, certification pathway and price in writing.

If the proposal is for a funding application or future budget cycle, include the deadline in your message.

We check each member against the current prerequisites before dates are held. If a prerequisite is missing, the proposal shows how to close the gap.
