Pro Board firefighter certification in Alberta
Northline delivers eligible NFPA training for firefighters and departments and runs the testing. Candidates who pass are certified through Pro Board, and Northline confirms the current pathway before enrolment.

How the certification pathway works
Northline delivers eligible NFPA training programs and runs the testing. Each candidate is evaluated by someone other than their instructor. Northline confirms the current pathway and the prerequisites that apply to your course before you enrol.
Successful candidates who complete the required assessments and meet the Alberta Firefighter Certification Program prerequisites are certified through Pro Board.

Current Alberta Fire Officer and Instructor standards
Alberta's program currently lists Fire Officer Levels I and II under NFPA 1021, 2020 edition, and Fire Service Instructor Levels I and II under NFPA 1041, 2019 edition.

Certification requirements
Pro Board certification is earned through examination and evaluation. Candidates must complete the required examination and evaluations, meet the current prerequisites and submit a complete certification application within the Alberta program timelines.
