Which course your workplace needs
- Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED. The common workplace requirement across hospitality, retail, trades, office and community teams. $1,495 CAD plus applicable GST for up to 12 participants. Each additional participant is $110 CAD, to a maximum of 18 in one session. The rate includes learner materials, Canadian Red Cross certification for each participant who completes the course, and use of training equipment.
- Advanced First Aid. For higher hazard operations, remote worksites and teams whose distance from medical aid raises the required level.
- Basic Life Support. A separate professional resuscitation program, where a clinical or healthcare role specifically requires BLS.

Northline's first aid courses are taught by paramedics and firefighters who work in emergency services. The people delivering the course use this material at work.

Do you train in Banff and Cochrane as well as Canmore?
Yes. Northline is based in Canmore and delivers throughout the Bow Valley, including Banff, Cochrane and the surrounding communities. Training runs at your own workplace, wherever your team already is.
Do we come to you, or do you come to us?
We come to you. Northline delivers at your workplace or a location you arrange.
Which level does our workplace need?
That depends on your hazard assessment, the number of workers and your distance from medical aid. See workplace first aid requirements for how Alberta determines coverage, or describe the worksite and we will confirm the level before anything is booked.
Can you work around a seasonal operation?
Usually, yes. Hospitality, tourism and guiding operations in this valley staff up and down through the year, and certification is easiest to schedule before a season starts. Tell us how your year runs and we will scope around it.
How long is the certification valid?
Three years for both Standard First Aid and Advanced First Aid. Employers often book on a rolling cycle so certifications expire in stages across the team, and we can scope it that way.
Who teaches the course?
Paramedics and firefighters who work in emergency services. In this valley, your instructors work the same emergency response your team is training for.
