Northline brings workplace first aid training to Calgary employers. Sessions run at your own site, on a date that fits your operation, so you can certify a whole team at once instead of two people at a time over a year.
Northline is based in Canmore and travels across Alberta to deliver this. Training happens in the room your team already works in.
Which course your workplace needs
- Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED. The common workplace requirement, and what most Calgary employers book for general office, retail, trades and service teams. $1,495 CAD plus applicable GST for up to 12 participants. Each additional participant is $110 CAD, to a maximum of 18 in one session. The rate includes learner materials, Canadian Red Cross certification for each participant who completes the course, and use of training equipment.
- Advanced First Aid. For higher hazard operations, remote or industrial worksites and teams whose distance from medical aid raises the required level.
- Basic Life Support. A separate professional resuscitation program, where a clinical or healthcare role specifically requires BLS.

Who teaches it
Northline's first aid courses are taught by paramedics and firefighters who work in emergency services. The people delivering the course use this material at work.
Ask what happens on a real call, or how a scenario plays out when the patient goes off script, and your instructor answers from their own work.

Frequently asked questions
Do you come to our Calgary workplace?
Yes. Northline is based in Canmore and travels to your worksite, so your team trains in a room they already know, close to the job.
How many people do you need before it is worth booking?
For Standard First Aid, $1,495 CAD plus applicable GST for up to 12 participants. The price is the same for 1 to 12 people. Each additional participant is $110 CAD, to a maximum of 18 in one session. Advanced First Aid is quoted for each group.
Which level does our workplace need?
That depends on your hazard assessment, the number of workers and how far you are from medical aid, which is set out under Alberta's workplace first aid requirements. See workplace first aid requirements for how the levels are determined, or tell us about the worksite and we will confirm it before you book.
How long is the certification valid?
Three years for both Standard First Aid and Advanced First Aid. Employers usually book on a rolling cycle so certifications expire in stages across the team, and we can scope it that way.
Can you train shift workers while the site keeps running?
Usually, yes. Scheduling is part of what gets scoped: split groups, back to back sessions or training around an operational window. Tell us how your shifts run and we will build the schedule around them.
Who teaches the course?
Paramedics and firefighters who work in emergency services. They answer questions about real calls from their own experience.
