What you’ll practise in ACLS

Lead high-performance resuscitation teams
Assign roles, manage CPR quality, use closed-loop communication, and keep the team coordinated as the situation evolves.

Manage cardiac arrest with confidence
Apply a structured approach to shockable and non-shockable cardiac arrest, defibrillation, medication use, and reversible causes.

Make airway and ventilation decisions
Practise effective bag-mask ventilation, advanced-airway strategy, capnography, and ventilation that supports perfusion.

Recognize and treat peri-arrest dysrhythmias
Assess symptomatic bradycardia and tachycardia, determine stability, and prepare for pacing, cardioversion, or medication therapy as appropriate.

Stabilize the patient after ROSC
Prioritize oxygenation, ventilation, perfusion, cause identification, ECG assessment, and a structured clinical handover.
Identify time-critical ACS and stroke
Before you register
ACLS is intended for appropriately qualified health-care and emergency-service professionals. Current BLS or CPR credentials and other prerequisites may apply depending on the course option. Summit confirms course fit, requirements, availability, and next steps before registration is finalized.
Required before your ACLS course
All confirmed ACLS participants must successfully complete the Heart & Stroke ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment before attending their course. A passing score of 70% is required. Complete it early so you arrive prepared to participate fully in ACLS training.
You will be taken to the Heart & Stroke website to complete the assessment.
Can Summit run a private ACLS course for our team?
